Went camping over the bank holiday weekend to Sacrewell...which was a lovely place to visit. They allowed groups to visit (but not groups of young adults...it appears I am no longer young!)...which was a bonus, it was a good site with sufficient facilities to meet the majority of our needs for a weekend! Not quite enough washing up sinks (yes...posh camping!) at peak times, but ok if you didn't mind a bit of a wait. Only a couple of showers, but they were well designed and clean and I never had to queue...but I am an early riser...so got to the showers before too many others were up! Lots of things to amuse the little people...animals, play ground, diggers, tractors, plenty of things. Not quite so much for older little people, but was perfect for our group. It was a lovely weekend to relax and do very little...we all should switch off from the real world of computers, emails, deadlines, mobiles, telephones etc. Although did have the mobile with me, which was useful, I did not feel quite so surgically attached.

Spent this last weekend with family...lots of visitors which was nice. Had a lovely meal out, I had some lovely fish, followed by pudding, which had fruit in it, which clearly makes it healthy (well, healthier than the chocolate brownie would have been!). Also made cheeky chilli-pepper chutney...its yummy! Did not make too much, just enough for 3 little jars, so one is open and in the fridge, another in the cupboard for another day, and the other with my Mum. Shall have to work out what the next project shall be on a culinary front!

Then the weekend before it was a friends leaving do, and my first experience of a night out in Essex. My brave friend has gone travelling, she's currently in India and keeping us up to date via Facebook, it sounds like she's having a great time.

Before that I visited Glastonbury Abbey and saw the Feeling and Kate Nash which was good, if a little moist! Also visited the home of Animal Park. Very good place to visit, quite expensive unless you do the passport...which gives plenty to do for a day!

Plenty of activities, no real holiday yet, planning something for October, not too sure what or where, but that seems like a sensible option.

going to london...to buy heat magazine

Thursday, June 19, 2008

The storage unit is finally empty...that's good news...so shall be saving a bit of money every month!

Football competition at work (predict the scores) seems to be going ok...now onto matches we had to predict the results of without knowing who would be playing in them! Shall be quite interesting. You get 5 points for a correct score, or only 1 point if you get the right result...the current leader in the office has 40 points...and the lowest placed person has 15 points. The mean score is 24.2 points, and the standard deviation is 6.2 - oh the joys of Excel.

Using Outlook...is there a way of viewing someone's diary and them not knowing? I mean if you have Outlook, and you do not have anyone on your allowed list for viewing your diary...then can anyone get around that without you knowing?! Its complicated...

Have visitors to stay this weekend, must buy some food for them!
